Grandma's basic French toast recipe

Listen up, before you run off and prepare the French Toast Recipe below.

Despite the fact French Toast is one of the easiest breakfast dishes to prepare (outside of boiling eggs) I lot of folks just can't seem to get the technique right and the results they want.  Until now....

This is the recipe my grandmother would use to wake us on weekend mornings, and the recipe she taught me. For me, it was the perfect  "how to make French toast recipe", and produced fantastic results. Why not give it a try?

Just follow the easy "how to make French toast" instructions below for excellent results:

Serves 4

INGREDIENTS:

PREPARATION:
  1. Break eggs into a wide, shallow bowl and beat lightly with a fork.
  2. Stir in 1 teaspoon sugar, salt, and milk.
  3. Soak the bread slices, one at a time, into the bowl or plate, letting slices soak up egg mixture for a few seconds, then carefully turn to coat the other side.
  4. Over medium-low heat, heat griddle or skillet coated with a thin layer of butter.
  5. Cook the soaked slices, one at a time, about 2 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  6. Remove from heat to serving dish
  7. Mix remaining teaspoon sugar with teaspoon cinnamon, sprinkle over French toast slices and serve.

Really this is all you need to make that perfect French toast breakfast for yourself or your family. Get moving towards your kitchen.
