Brooklyn Bear’s Cajun Shrimp

This shrimp dish always gets rave reviews. While I may be from Brooklyn this dish reminds me of my trip to New Orleans… it’s got a kick of Louisiana spice and a lingering flavor of lime…delicious!

Ingredients:
1lb Large Shrimp (de-vein shrimp and butterfly)
Juice From 2 Limes
2 Cloves of Garlic (minced)
2-3 Tablespoons Cajun Spice Seasoning (any brand or homemade concoction will do)
Spray vegetable oil on grill racks before cooking.
Aluminum foil- to create foil packet for grill

Arrange shrimp in a glass baking dish so that they are in a single layer.
Sprinkle a generous amount of Cajun seasoning on shrimp, turn shrimp over repeat.
Cover shrimp and place the dish in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.
Add lime juice and garlic to shrimp. Cover and place in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.
Spray vegetable oil on grill racks before cooking.
Create an aluminum foil packet for shrimp. Add shrimp and marinade to foil packet and grill over high heat for 6 minutes (or until shrimp is opaque)
Remove shrimp from foil packet and discard packet with marinade. Grill shrimp on grill rack for 4-5 minutes until you achieve desired grill marks.
