Dark rum BBQ sauce

This dark rum BBQ Sauce is great with just about any grilled meat.

Ingredients
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
3 slices bacon, cut into bits
1 medium onion, finely diced
1 small can tomato sauce
1/2 cup dark rum
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon. chili sauce

Preparation
Heat oil in pan, and sauté onion over medium-high heat until tender. Add the bacon, tomato sauce and dark rum to the pan with the onion. Reduce heat and simmer for about 2 minutes. Add the lemon juice, brown sugar, and chili sauce and simmer the BBQ Sauce for about 8 more minutes.
