Quick & Easy Coleslaw Recipe

Do you feel that your barbecue is incomplete without a great coleslaw salad? Well, I know I do. While I think everyone would agree that coleslaw is an American barbecue staple, I find that most people just pick some up at the store instead of making it at home. This is a pity, really. Why settle for industrial grade, when most coleslaw recipes are usually so quick and easy to make at home - as is the recipe for coleslaw below. So much so, that you'll find any "how to make coleslaw' instructions completely superfluous.

This zesty cole slaw recipe is a family favorite. I like it because it is so quick and easy to make. Everyone loves it because it's so light and tasty. So why not give this nice, creamy coleslaw recipe a try?

Try this great creamy coleslaw recipe

Makes 6-8 servings

INGREDIENTS:

bullet 1 medium head cabbage, shredded
bullet 1 carrot, shredded (optional)
bullet 1 cup mayonnaise
bullet 2 tablespoons heavy cream
bullet 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
bullet Salt and pepper, to taste

PREPARATION:

bullet Combine mayonnaise and cream with the cabbage and carrot. We're aiming for a nice, creamy coleslawIt should be creamy, not soggy, so adjust quantity of mayonnaise and cream accordingly, as required.
bullet Add seasonings, mix, taste and adjust
bullet Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

That's it! Less than 5 minutes and your done. Did I mention quick and easy?
