Grilled
Sirloin Steak and Broccoli
|
Looking for a great grilled sirloin steak
recipe? Well, look no further. This is one
of those delicious 'meals in 30 minutes
or less' recipes, and I'm sure you wont
find anything tastier or easier. Here's
how this great recipe came about . . .
A while back, not too long ago, the couple
in the RV parked next to us dropped by and
invited themselves over for dinner. Basically,
I encourage that kind of thing, as we always
enjoy making new friends on our trips, plus
they brought a great salad, so no complaints.

The problem was I only had a couple of sirloins
in the refrigerator, which I had planned
on grilling later. As it was too late to
go find a store, I had a bit of a problem
until I remembered what a friend of mine
- a pretty good chef, by the way - had once
told me about the Chinese practice of using
meat slices to make a little meat go a long
way. Based on a hazy memory, this sirloin
steak recipe quickly evolved into one of
my top sirloin steak recipes, and I now
make it often, outdoors and at home as well.
As a matter of fact, in these hard-pressed
times of economic turmoil, turning a meal
for two into a meal for four is not a bad
idea at all. And Asian recipes give a bit
of twist to everyday recipes. So, here we
go with grilled sirloin steak and broccoli,
Asian-style. And don't forget the chopsticks.

the soy sauce, the mirin, the
