Killer Easy Ribs

by nancy medlin
(2001 29th st north texas city tx 77590)

1 cup raspberry preserves (seedless)
1 pound light brown sugar
1 tablespoon Montreal Steak seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 to 2/3 cups cola drink

Preheat smoker pit (indirect heat) to 350F with mesquite, apple or hickory logs.
Mix all of the above listed ingredients together with a fork, using enough cola drink to make the sauce about the consistency of syrup.
Marinate the ribs (up to 4 slabs of pork ribs) with one third of the sauce for as long (or not) as you wish, then place the ribs on the pit, turning them about every 20 minutes. Brush the exposed upper portion with sauce after each turn, using the marinade first and then the retained 2/3 of the sauce when the marinade is all gone.

Maintain the pit's fire at 325 to 350F, cooking ribs for at least 3 hours or until done.

Remove ribs to a platter, and cut apart. Place ribs in remaining sauce and serve.

Enjoy!
